THE efficient approach
I wrote the The Efficient Approach in 2007 to consolidate and express my pedagogical approach to horn. For 20 years of teaching, I saw the same things happening over and over again. I wanted to be able to put helpful ideas into a single place that any horn player could access and utilize to improve their playing quickly.
This book will give you an understanding of the physical systems in operation when the play the horn - what’s REALLY going on.
By understanding these systems, you can solidify your playing to be able to more clearly and easily express your musical ideas.
When your foundational approach to the horn has become more powerful and reliable, everything just works. You can express the nuance of what you want to say musically without obstacles.
